Book Review

Undead Series by MaryJanice Davidson

Hi Everyone, i recently read the undead series which i would classify as amazing. The story followers Betsy Taylor a recently unemployed, single, 31 year old Vampire. After being fired from her job she is killed and resurrected as a vampire. But soon she discovers that on top of being a bloodsucking fiend she is also the Queen of The Undead, filled with hilarious comedy, romance and violence with just a touch of drama, this book is really a page turner.

I'd give it 4 stars (★★★★) Though not expertly written its certainly makes up for it in humor.

Book Review

The Infernal Devices

I recently read a series by bestselling author Cassandra Clare called the Infernal Devices. This series follows Tessa Gray a young New Yorker who’s Aunt dies leaving her all alone in the big city. The orphan sets out to London to search for her brother Nathaniel who sent for her. Almost immediately as she steps off the ship she is whisked away into the Dark and D
eceitful world of the supernatural. Set in the Shadowhunter Universe, filled with Drama, Romance and Tragedy, this series is beyond amazing. The Plot mostly takes place in London during the Victorian era, where Corsets and Carriages dominated the scenes. I have read a tremendous amount of books and I must say that this series took my breath away. I literally sobbed, laughed and passed out at the right scenes. I felt as if for a few simple hours I was in the book. And very few books have that effect on me. The story mostly circulates around the love triangle of William Herondale(Will), Tessa Gray(Tess) and James Carstairs(Jem). So if you feel like a book that will make you feel like a young magical  adult then read this.

Unfortunately a lot of us suffer from it; yes I’m talking about the embarrassing little problem Acne. Acne is basically any kind of red or inflamed mark or spot on the skin. When you have a date or a party to go to and you have but a few hours to get ready, the worst thing that can happen is a big zit on the tip of your nose. In this post I’m gonna tell you about what causes acne, acne myths and fact and acne treatments.

How is acne formed?

Our body produces oil called sebum; sebum is basically our bodies’ way of moisturizing everything, from to skin to even hair. Now when you hit puberty the sebum glands swell from all the hormones, thus producing more sebum that’s even thicker. When we sweat the sebum out, our body releases harmful toxins and bacteria from the body. But some pores become blocked with bacteria and sebum. After a while the pore becomes inflamed and fills with pus. Thus giving us acne.

How do I treat acne?

There are many ways to treat acne. Basically if you’re hormonal acne is unavoidable. There are drugs on the market like Accutane that cut off your bodies sebum supply, but this comes with a lot of side effects. Like dandruff from a dry flaky scalp and hair loss. The best you can do is clean out your pores and moisturize with acne creams. Here are a few steps on a basic acne regime

S1-Remove all make up from the face with makeup remover.

S2-Take a clean cloth and soak in warm water, Leave the cloth on your face for 5 or so minutes.

S3-Wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap

S4-Apply a generous amount of face wash onto your palm (I’m personally loving the Clearasil PerfectaWash™ Automatic Face Wash  With Soothing Plant Extracts, it leaves your faces feeling clean and cool.) and thoroughly but gently was your face, neck and upper chest.

S5-Rinse with water and pat dry with a towel, or even better air dry.

S6-Now take Your Toner or Astringent and soak a cotton ball and gently swab at your skin. (CLEAN & CLEAR® ESSENTIALS Deep Cleaning Astringent)

S7-Wait till your skin is dry before rubbing in your acne cream. (The best product on the market in my opinion is Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Vanishing Treatment Cream.)

S8-Apply your moisturizer and you are done.

Tips

*Steaming your face works much better than a cloth

*Experiment around with different products; what works for me doesn’t always work for others.

*Drink lots of water and green tea, they clean from within.

*Try not to touch your face a lot.

*Always make sure your face is dry before proceeding to the next step. (Not for step 1-5)

Acne Myths and Facts

*Certain foods make you break out. (Myth) Bullshit

*That urine therapy clears up your skin. (Fact), it’s been an acne treatment for over 200 hundred years.

* Squeeze Those Pimples. (Myth) When you squeeze half the bad stuff comes out half goes deeper into the skin.

*Washing your skin numerous times a day helps. (Myth) No it just causes your skin to dry out. And your body ends up producing even more Sebum.

*Acne isn’t just a mild skin condition but can leave deep emotional and psychological scars. (Fact)

Different Kinds of Acne

•Whiteheads. These are pimples that stay under the surface of the skin.

•Blackheads. These pimples rise to the skin’s surface and look black. The black color is not from dirt.

•Papules. These are small pink bumps that can be tender.

•Pustules. These pimples are red at the bottom and have pus on top.

•Nodules. These are large, painful, solid pimples that are deep in the skin.

•Cysts. These deep, painful, pus-filled pimples can cause scars.

So here is the conclusion of my Post, All these tips and treatments you try at your own risk. Acne is very embarrassing and can lead us to put life on hold. Your skin is you bodies largest organ so take care of it.

Hey all you r.a.v.ers, my first post will be about the princess of pop.

At the age of 31 it turns out you can still have it, especially if your ms spears, everyone whos anyone is talking about her new duet with will.i.am, Scream and shout has been a super success.....for a remix. ms spears was fired from the sensational hit tv series 'x factor' late last year and she split with fiance jason trawick, 2012 ended with a fizzle rather than a bang. she has officially bounced back, you know what they say theres nothing better than a bad publicity and ms spears seems to have had alot of it over the years, from a chubby gold digging ex husband to a shaved head. some people just wont age with dignity. what does the future hold for britney?? all i know is that she will always be our britney...bitch
